ElectrifyAzerbaijan participated in China-Azerbaijan Industry and Investment Conference in Beijing
Tariyel Rustamov, General Manager of the Azerbaijan Energy Automotive Factory and Managing Director of Electrify Azerbaijan, took part in the China-Azerbaijan Industry and Investment Cooperation Promotion Conference held in Beijing.
Throughout the event, several strategic meetings were held with BYD - key international partner of the companies. As BYD’s official local representative, the company is preparing to launch joint production at the Azerbaijan Energy Automotive Factory (AEAF) by 2025 aiming to significantly increase the localization of electric buses and spare parts by 2030.
In 2024, as a result of this growing partnership, ElectrifyAzerbaijan operating under SARDA Group introduced 160 BYD-branded electric buses, now fully operational across the country’s public transportation routes.
Given the strong bilateral relations between China and Azerbaijan, this strategic partnership is set to make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of green energy and the future of clean transportation in Azerbaijan.
