BYD Baku officially launches passenger vehicle operations in Azerbaijan

BYD - one of the world's leading manufacturers of new energy vehicles (NEVs) has officially entered Azerbaijan's passenger vehicle market. The launch event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center marked an important milestone for the brand and introduced its latest passenger vehicle lineup to the Azerbaijani market. The brand's official dealer in the country is BYD Baku operating withing the structure of SARDA Group.

Held under the "From Fire to Flow" concept the event celebrated Azerbaijan's heritage while highlighting the country's transition toward a more sustainable future. During the presentation, BYD unveiled five new energy vehicle models designed for different mobility needs: YUAN UP EV, YUAN UP DM-i, SEALION 6 EV, SEALION 6 DM-i, and SEAL 6 DM-i.

The new lineup features BYD's latest technologies, including the e-Platform 3.0, Cell-to-Body (CTB) architecture and the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, delivering high levels of safety, efficiency, intelligent performance and driving comfort. Whether for daily urban commuting or longer intercity journeys, the vehicles are designed to support a more sustainable mobility experience.

The partnership between SARDA Group and BYD first began in 2009 and has continued to grow over the years. Beyond vehicle sales and after-sales services, the collaboration has expanded into strategic projects that contribute to Azerbaijan's transition toward clean transportation.

The official launch of BYD passenger vehicles represents another significant step in the long-standing partnership between BYD and SARDA Group while reinforcing their shared commitment to innovation, sustainable mobility, and the continued development of Azerbaijan's new energy transportation ecosystem.
