The 3rd Zefer Golf Tournament was successfully held in Baku

The Zefer Golf Tournament 2025 was successfully held in Baku, jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Golf Federation (AGF) and the Turkish Golf Federation (TGF).
Since its launch in 2023, the tournament has become a symbol of friendship, brotherhood, and sporting spirit between the two nations.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Rauf Khalilov - President of the Azerbaijan Golf Federation, Mr. Yıldırım Demirören - President of the Turkish Golf Federation and H.E. Mr. Birol Akgün - Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan, along with federation representatives and athletes.

In his speech, Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Mr. Birol Akgün expressed his gratitude to both presidents for their contribution to strengthening sports cooperation, noting that the Zefer Golf Tournament is not only a sports competition but also a bridge that reinforces friendship and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

This year’s tournament brought together 55 golfers - 23 representing Turkey and 32 representing Azerbaijan.
The event once again proved that sport is more than competition - it is a force that unites nations, people, and hearts.

The Zefer Golf Tournament 2025 stands as a remarkable sporting event that embodies the spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
